Gardner Denver Unveils Single Source Supplier Offering at Air-Tech 2018

Gardner Denver will be unveiling its new 'OneAir’ single source supplier offering at Air-Tech 2018, as well as displaying the latest innovative compressed air and vacuum solutions.

Taking place 10-12th April at Birmingham NEC, visitors to stand AF1710 will be able to learn more about OneAir, Gardner Denver’s new single source supplier initiative. OneAir brings together Gardner Denver’s extensive brand portfolio to provide a single service offering for customers seeking compressed air and vacuum technologies. Products from the company’s internationally-renowned portfolio including CompAir, Hydrovane, Belliss & Morcom, Elmo Rietschle, Robuschi and Reavell will be available on the stand.

Through OneAir, Gardner Denver offers a simplified supplier-customer relationship for all industrial air requirements. This results in reduced lead times, lower administration costs and easier servicing and maintenance for the customer, alongside bespoke agreement terms, operational and cost efficiencies, and stronger, mutually beneficial long-term relationships.

To further emphasise the single source supplier theme, Gardner Denver will be showcasing Reavell and CompAir nitrogen generation systems on the stand. An emerging way to make savings and improve efficiencies, on-site nitrogen generation systems use existing compressors to convert air into guaranteed purity nitrogen.

This process lets companies optimise their current compressed air system and plan out production levels to meet on-demand supply, and allows for complete control over the volume and gas flow required. The generated nitrogen can then be used to keep products or systems dry and sterile, and can yield savings of 90 per cent when compared to its bought-in equivalent.

Crucially, by utilising nitrogen generation technology, plant owners and operators bypass the logistical concerns associated with sourcing. Instead, by seeking an in-house solution, operators can enjoy the lower production costs, improved energy efficiency and operational efficiencies associated with a guaranteed supply.

Also on display will be Ultima, Gardner Denver’s revolutionary new, water-cooled oil-free compressor. Launched as part of the company’s CompAir range, Ultima can offer up to 12 per cent improved energy efficiency compared to a conventional two-stage machine, and achieve the highest levels of efficiency through its turndown range.

Ultima avoids the standard single motor and mechanical gearbox design favoured by most oil-free compressors. Instead, it uses the ‘U-Drive’ concept – two permanent magnetic variable-speed motors that can reach speeds of up to 22,000 rpm and deliver efficiencies greater than IE4.

Because these inverters are separate and not linked mechanically, they can be driven directly and independently for even greater performance. This capability is further improved by Ultima’s intelligent gearbox design, which continuously monitors and adjusts each airend’s speed for maximum efficiency and best pressure ratios.

Combined with a footprint 37 per cent smaller than other two-stage machines, Ultima can deliver best-in-class performance for applications demanding the highest air purity and quality, while taking up less factory floor space.
